#1 Design and Features
The updated Platina 110 H Gear boasts the latest combined braking system (CBS) that complies with the recent government road safety norms. Speaking of design, there are a few tweaks that you will see on the bike. For starters, there is a semi-digital console that makes the bike look futuristic. The console displays aspects like two trip meters, fuel gauge, odometer, a clock, service due indicator, low battery, and gear shift and position. Also, the new quilt pattern seat is a one-of-its-kind that gives the bike a premium look and feel. Moreover, you will also see some subtle changes in the graphics. Apart from these, the overall design and look remain pretty much the same.
#2 Same Engine with an Additional Gear
Bajaj Platina 110 is powered by the same single-cylinder, air-cooled, 115cc engine as the previous model. It produces a peak torque of 9.8Nm and 8.7PS. Nevertheless, there is additional gear included in the engine design that is put installed there with the purpose of highway fuel efficiency. With that said, this updated version has a 5-speed transmission. This is perfect for those who travel on highways or have a long commute to work.
#3 A Larger Front Disc
This is the only bike in the segment that features a 236mm front disc brake. No other Platina models have had that. What’s surprising is that Bajaj has paired this front disc with a 130mm rear drum brake that enhances the bike’s braking performance, especially when on highways and at a decent speed. And thanks to the twin nitrox shock absorbers and a telescopic fork, the bike makes sure that the rider doesn’t feel the bump on uneven roads and during harsh weather conditions like heavy rain.
#4 H Gear
This is a unique feature that you will find in this updated Platina. The H Gear essentially translates to ‘Gear-Shift-Guide.’ In other words, it is a gear assist indicator that displays the gear the bike is in. This is a feature that you will not see in the segment of other mid-range Bajaj bikes. It is purposely put there as it prompts the rider to downshift or upshift for better fuel efficiency. What’s interesting is that you will not find this feature in more expensive bike models like the Pulsar range or Discover.
#5 Available in Two Variants
Like all other Bajaj bikes, this one also comes in multiple variants. The drum version is priced at ₹53,376, whereas the disc variant is priced at ₹55,373. It is a minute price bump of ₹2,600, which most people may choose to ignore. That is, people may prefer the disc variant over the standard model because there isn’t much difference in the price.
